Great white shark interrupts California sheriff's water training exercise

BODEGA BAY, Calif. (STORYFUL) - Deputies with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office got quite a surprise on June 11, when a great white shark interrupted a planned open-water training exercise.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies in the Henry-1 helicopter spotted the shark swimming in shallow water in the Estero Americano estuary, near Bodega Bay, California at around 3:00 pm.

The sheriff’s office estimates the shark was 13-15 feet long.
