CAPE CORAL, Fla. (STORYFUL) – Motorists in Cape Coral, Florida were surprised on June 1st to see a teenage girl in the company of her mother, holding a sign saying “I lied” at a busy intersection.
Ashley Atty shared footage from the scene on Facebook, where the mother can be seen ordering her daughter to continue walking.
“On our way home we witnessed parenting at its finest,” the post said.
According to Atty, the sign said, “I lied. I humiliated myself & my mother."
Atty told a local NBC affiliate in Fort Meyers, Florida, “I’m sure she’ll never lie again because that was embarrassing.” People debated on Facebook if this was effective parenting or not.
